COMPLAINTS PROCEDURE

The editorial board of the journal "Movoznavstvo" strongly condemns the violation of academic integrity. We consider complaints of authors, reviewers, readers or third parties regarding plagiarism, data falsification, authorship manipulation and conflicts of interest.

Complaints are accepted in writing by e-mail: This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.. The applicant must provide specific evidence of the violation (references to the plagiarism source, comparative data tables or documents confirming a hidden conflict of interest).

Anonymous complaints, as well as public complaints made public in social networks, are considered only in the case of convincing evidence of gross violations.

The editor-in-chief of the "Movoznavstvo" journals within 5 working days confirms the receipt of the complaint and conducts an initial analysis of its validity.

If the complaint relates to an unpublished manuscript, its consideration and publication shall be suspended until the investigation is completed.

Formation of the Ethics Commission

For a detailed consideration of the complaint, a temporary commission is created, which includes:

• Editor-in-chief of the  "Movoznavstvo" journals or his authorized deputy.
• At least 2 members of the editorial board who have no conflict of interest with any of the parties.
• If necessary, an independent expert is involved, whose scientific profile corresponds to the direction of this study.

Investigation process

• The editorial board officially applies to the authors with a request for explanations or initial data. Authors must provide an answer within 10 calendar days.
• The Commission compares the texts (in the case of plagiarism) or analyzes the reliability of statistical calculations.
• All information on the investigation remains confidential until the final decision is made.

Decisions and Sanctions

Based on the results of the investigation, the editorial board of the journal makes one of the decisions:

• The complaint is rejected: if no violations are detected (informing the applicant and the authors).
• Fixes: if minor unintended errors are found (corrigendum publication).
• Refusal to publish: if violations are detected in the manuscript at the review stage.
• Withdrawal: if gross violations (plagiarism, falsification) are detected in an already published article.

 The editorial board officially informs about the decision: the applicant and authors, the management of the institution where the authors work (in case of confirmation of gross violations), as well as scientometric databases and repositories (in case of retraction)
