Publication ethics
The publication ethics of the journal "Movoznavstvo" complies with accepted international practices and standards for the publication of scientific periodicals, including EASE Guidelines, Principles of Transparency and Best Practice in Scholarly Publishing, COPE Guidelines, as well as the criteria and recommendations from DOAJ, Web of Science, Scopus.
Responsibility of authors
- The authors are required to agree that their articles will be published in the public domain under the license of the Creative Commons Attribution License (CC BY SA 4.0).
- The authors should certify that their manuscripts are an original work, the manuscript has not been previously published and is not submitted for publication elsewhere.
- Authors must submit a manuscript in normative Ukrainian or English and formatted in accordance with the Recommendations for authors (link to the Recommendations on the site).
- In the case of co-authorship, it is assumed that all co-authors have made a significant contribution to the study.
- The authors should indicate all the sources used in their work.
- Authors must respond in a timely manner to the comments of reviewers and editors.
- Authors should report an editorial office about any errors they find in their article during the editorial and publishing process and after publication.
- Authors must report an editorial office of any conflict of interest. The correspondent author who submits the material for consideration must submit a declaration of any conflicts of interest on behalf of all authors.
Responsibility of reviewers
- Manuscripts should be considered by at least two experts. Reviewers are asked to report any conflicts of interest.
- Reviewers are expected to focus on the scientific quality, validity and novelty of research, as well as on a general style that should correspond to the advanced practice of academic style. If reviewers admit that the manuscript needs to be edited, they should notify the authors and the editor in the opinion.
- The criteria for evaluating the manuscript are described in detail in the Section Review.
- If there are serious disagreements between reviewers or between authors and reviewers, editors can assess these discrepancies according to their experience or contact a member of the journal's editorial board on recommendation.
- During the review after the corrections of the authors, the editor may ask the reviewer to evaluate the updated version of the manuscript.
- Reviewers should be polite and constructive in their findings, and avoid insults and discrimination.
- Reviewing of manuscripts is carried out confidentially.
- Reviewers must store manuscripts, related materials and all details related to the review, strictly confidential and not to transfer them to third parties.
- Reviewers must identify relevant published work that the authors did not cite.
- Reviewers should refrain from using any author's ideas before the publication of the article.
- Reviewers should pay attention to any significant similarities or coincidences between the manuscript in question and any other published article they know about.
Editors' responsibility
- Editors are responsible for language-style editing of articles.
- Responsible editors should not reject articles on the basis of suspicion, without evidence of inappropriate behavior of the author (authors).
- Editors must maintain the anonymity of reviewers. The editorial board only uses the personal information of authors, reviewers, editors and other persons registered on the journal's website (names and e-mail addresses), the editorial board only uses to verify, review and/or publish articles and does not transmit to any other party.
- The materials sent to the journal are private and confidential property of the authors. In order to avoid harm to authors or reviewers due to the premature disclosure of any information from the author's original of the article, it is prohibited to share any details of the submitted articles or reports on reviews with third parties.
- All editors and reviewers involved in the editorial process should not disclose information about the content of the author's original of the article (in general or any part), status in the process of reviewing, comments and suggestions of reviewers, as well as interim or final results of reviewing to anyone other than authors and reviewers. Any requests from third parties regarding the use or transfer submitted for publication in the Author's Originals Journal will reject.
- The editors ensure the confidentiality of reviewers in the process of double "blind" review.
Responsibility of other participants in the editorial process
- All employees involved in the editorial process should refrain from any comments and not publicly disclose any details of the editorial process, the review process during the preparation for publication and after the publication of the article.
The editorial board does not store copies of rejected manuscripts. Reviewers' comments may not be published or made public in any other way without the permission of the reviewer, author and responsible editor.
