ANTI-DISCRIMINATION POLICY
The journal Movoznavstvoremains neutral with regard to any political disputes. Editorsare not permittedto express personal preferences or to treat a manuscript or its author(s) in a biased manner based on their country of origin, residence and/or institutional affiliation.
Decisions concerning publication of submissions should not be influenced by the author’s gender, age, nationality, ethnic or racial background , or political or religious beliefs.
In making decisions concerning the selection of reviewers, the timing of publication, and the editorial and publishing process as a whole, the editorial board shall under no circumstances give preference to representatives of any particular gender, agegroup, race, nationality, nor shall it be guided by other discriminatory criteria.
Authorsare expected to depoliticise their researchby avoiding provocative remarks, contentious geopolitical claims, and disputed designations on maps. Where this cannot be avoided, the journal reserves the right to identify such matters as disputed during or after publication, to publish editorial comments, or rejector retract articles.
At the same time, the editorial board reserves the right to reject manuscripts without peer review if:
- the author(s) are affiliated with an organisation or institution located within the territory of an aggressor state or state sponsor of terrorism;
- the researchhas been funded by an organisation or institution located within the territory of an aggressor state or state sponsor of terrorism;
- the manuscripts contain callsfor the overthrow of the constitutional order or rule of law, for violation of human rights, or for terrorism, or are intended to disseminate ideological doctrines and/or politicised ideas;
- the research is based on conclusionsor results obtained by authors affiliated with an organisation or institutions located within the territory of an aggressor state or state sponsor of terrorism (as evidenced by the relevant sources cited in the research), withoutadequate justification for their use;
- the findings of the research contain and/or reflect the subjective assessments and/or opinions of the author(s) concerning Ukrainian statehood and/orindependence, distort historical events, and/or call into question the value of the Ukrainian language or national identity.
