The purpose and objectives of the "Movoznavstvo" Journal
Scientific and theoretical journal of the NAS of Ukraine, O. O. Potebnia Institute of Linguistics and Ukrainian Lingua-Informational Foundation of the of NAS of Ukraine. Founded in 1967. Published 6 times a year.
The purpose of the publication
The publication highlights the problems of general, Slavic, Germanic, Romance, Baltic, Turkic and Finno-Hungarian linguistics. The proper place is given to the studios in the Ukrainian language, especially in terms of its connections with other languages.
The journal regularly analyzes the language situation in Ukraine, in its various regions. Its pages regularly contain materials of scientific conferences, round tables, discussions on topical issues of linguistics, anniversary events. The special issues publish reports of Ukrainian linguists at the International Congresses of Slavists. The journal acquaints readers with new Ukrainian and foreign linguistic publications, highlights the main events of linguistic life in Ukraine and abroad.
The priority tasks of the "Movoznavstvo" Journal are:
- support for the development of linguistic research;
- ensuring impartial and high-quality review in accordance with international academic standards;
- systematic work on indexing the journal in international scientometric databases and electronic libraries;
- bringing the editorial policy and procedures of the journal in line with the requirements of leading international databases (Scopus, Web of Science, etc.).
