New rules for registration of publications in the journal "Movoznavstvo"

To the attention of the authors

The editorial board assesses the relevance of the proposed work, its scientific novelty, the content of the presentation of the basic principles of research, conclusions and generalizations. The materials are tested for plagiarism and self-plagiarism.

The editorial board reserves the right to reject the submitted material or return for revision.

The text of the article should be sent in electronic version (in .rtf and .pdf formats) to the editorial office This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.. The file name must contain the genre and surname of at least one of the authors: Voloskovets_stattya, Voloskovets_khronika, etc.

In a separate document (application), the authors submit information about themselves: last name, first name, patronymic, affiliation, academic title, scientific degree - in Ukrainian and English, as well as e-mail and contact numbers. The name of the file must contain the surname of one of the authors: Malash_zayavka.

The texts not read by the author (with factual or technical errors) are not accepted for consideration.

Technical rules for registration of the article

General requirements

  1. Volume — up to 40 thousand printed characters (with intervals between words). If the article exceeds the specified volume, it is advisable to divide it into parts.
  2. The font is Times New Roman, at one and a half intervals. If a different font is used, you must submit it in a separate file.

Article structure

  1. Title of the article and information about the authors
  • The first line: in width, in bold - name, in large letters and in bold - surname; in the usual font - affiliation (name of educational institution or institution without abbreviations), address (street, house number, city name, country, e-mail, ORCID).
  • Through the line: on the left, in bold - the UDC classification index (at the request of the author). Through the line: in the center, in large letters and in bold - the title of the article.

THE ANTIQUITY OF UKRAINIAN, REFLECTED IN NEIGHBORING LANGUAGES 

  1. Abstracts and keywords

The abstract is submitted in Ukrainian through a line after information about the authors. The volume of the abstract is not less than 1800 characters. In the next line you need to submit keywords (5-7 units).

At the end of the article, after the list of literature and REFERENCES, you must submit in English:

  • an abstract of not less than 1800 characters and keywords (5-7 units). Keywords in English should be the most accurate translation of Ukrainian-language and reproduced in the same sequence. The number of keywords in the list is the same in Ukrainian-language and English-language abstracts (if the grammatical features of the language do not require another);
  • on the left — name and surname (in bold, according to the established rules of transliteration or by passport), scientific degree, academic title, position; in the next line - the affiliation (name of educational institution or institution without abbreviations), address of the institution, name of the city, country, e-mail, ORCID;
  • on the left, in bold, the title of the article.

  1. Actually, the text of the article containing the introduction (positioning of the problem, analysis of previous studies related to this work), presentation of the main material, results and conclusions (rubrication is not required).

The text of the article should be submitted at intervals after the Ukrainian-language abstract.

  1. After the text of the article — at intervals of one line between headings and their names:

– ABBREVIATIOS (if necessary);

– SOURCES (if necessary);

– RFEERENCES (list of literature for international databases).

If the article is written in English, the following structure should be followed: title; author information; abstract in English; text; REFERENCES and (if necessary) SOURCES; abstract and information about the author in Ukrainian.

Review structure

  1. Title: the name that the reviewer gives his work.
  2. The surname and initials of the author, the title of the work, genre, place, the name of the publisher and the year of publication, the total number of pages.

  1. Problem-setting, explaining the relevance of the peer-reviewed scientific work. Subject and object of research in peer-reviewed work.
  2. Description of the structure of labor, analysis of each of its parts (with the indication of the pages) in terms of the implementation of the tasks.
  3. Conclusions of the reviewer on the scientific weight of the study in accordance with the analysis of the work.
  4. The list of sources used (if any, except for the peer-reviewed).
  5. Information about the reviewer in Ukrainian.
  6. Information about the reviewer in English.

Rules for the design of the text

The text of the article (review) must be drawn up in accordance with the rules of the current spelling, with the exception of illustrative material that can be reproduced in accordance with the original.

Languages of publications — Ukrainian, English (UK or US, but only one of the options).

You can't use style markers in the text.

Between the initials, between the initial and the surname is the inseparable interval (simultaneous keystroke Ctrl + Shift + space) (e.g. B. Lukinova, O. O. Taranenko).

The text can contain tables, graphs, images, diagrams, etc. It is necessary to take into account the possible deterioration of the quality of illustrations in case of their transfer to black and white colors.

Digital footnotes are used for clarifications and clarifications, which for some reason cannot be presented in the text itself. For references to literature, square brackets are used, which indicate the appropriate source.

Requirements for the design of illustrative material

Phrases and words used as examples should be given in italics without quotation marks.

For example:

Borrowing trend entered the conversational practice in the 90-ies of the twentieth century.

 

Attention! Between words or phrases given as examples and typed in italics, punctuation marks,  as well as round, square and curly brackets ( ), [ ], { }, quotes ", ", should be typed in regular font, not in italics.

 

Phonemes, morphemes, symbols are given in bold. For example:

In women, most of the recorded pauses of gazit - 65% - are filled with various sounds (such as i-y, e-e, емem, y-u, etc.).

Quotes should be quoted in quotation marks. For example: A. Arkhangelska notes: "In Polish society, before the Second World War, the use of a male name instead of a female was defined as barbarism" [Arkhangelsk: 79].

In the presence of quotations, the following varieties are used inside the quotation: "This story was published in the Parisian emigrant edition "Timely Notes".

We define the right word in bright italics: "And you look like the owner is arranged, In your house and in your field."

The names should be given in quotation marks: "The word on Igor's regiment."

The meanings of words (in dialectological, etymological studies, etc.) are given in single upper (semantic) quotation marks...' (e.g.: a non-trip of a person without a perdulsion-carrying rod').

It is necessary to clearly distinguish between a long dash (—), a medium dash (–) and a hyphae (-). For example: "Valentality is...", 5-10 s, 2008-2009, X-XI centuries (for digital designations); but: synonyms-conversions, not today or tomorrow.

The author's omissions of the quoted text are denoted by three dots in broken brackets <... >.

Reference to the literature in the text should be given in square brackets: the author's surname (or the first word of the source name), the year of publication (if there are references to various works of the author), the colon (before it pass), the number (numbers) of the page. For example: [Bulakhovsky]; [Semykolenova : 31]; [Lark 2018 : 55–56]; [Kolesnyk 2005a : 4–5; Kolesnik 2005b : 31]; [Lakoff : 105].

Long names of collective works can be presented in the form of abbreviations or give the first 1–3 words of the name with three points after them. If the publication has several volumes, parts, issues, etc., it is reflected in the vocation: Słownik prasłowiański, tom I — [SP], Indo-European heritage in the vocabulary of Slavic, Baltic and Romance languages: word-forming and semantic connections and processes — [Indo-European heritage...].

For example:

The name is derived from the verb by many researchers [Meilint II 1905 : 216; Kuznetsov 1954 : 30; SP I 1974 : 383; Králik 2015 : 83].

In addition to the literature itself, the author may indicate sources, )from where the illustrative material is taken. References are given in parentheses: the abbreviated source name, comma, page number or sheet: (B–1, 45), (Letter B. Stus to V. Caught, arch. 1). In the list of sources, the reduction should be deciphered. Abbreviations should be identical throughout the text and match the sources specified in the final list.

For example:

In our opinion, the Psl. *stgno literally meant "what is covered with clothes", cf. in the "Collection of Svyatoslav" 1073. (Izb: 121).

All believers of Polishchuk are baptized and prayed on ordinary days and in critical situations: but ia pos | |pomo | ly'n'ku/ pri | |du ў | |house/ croach | humu' (GM–1: 87).

In the case of reference to archival documents, the name of the archive, the fund number, description, case and sheet number should be indicated in parentheses: (CDIAL, f. 101, op. 4, pp. 812, ark. 1). The abbreviations in the list of sources of abbreviations should also be deciphered, indicating the total number of sheets in the document.
